Pre-reqs: A basic understanding of quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and linear algebra. Familiarity with probability and eigenvalues/eigenvectors would be helpful, but is not required.

What does chaos mean in a quantum world? In this talk, I will introduce the basic ideas of quantum chaos and discuss how it differs from classical chaos. We will explore how Random Matrix Theory and spectral statistics help us identify signatures of chaos in quantum systems. Finally, using the quantum kicked rotor as an example, we will see how classical chaotic behaviour manifests itself in quantum dynamics.
